Thankful Thursday!

"Being thankful means to give you a hug."  - Jacob

Hello all of you beautiful people! I hope that you have had the most fantastic week ever and that next week is only better!

I also hope that, like me, you were able to find things that you are grateful for.

I did.

Hugs and Cuddles - My little heart melts when Jacob comes over to me and tells me he loves me and wraps his little arms around me.  Of course, I love when Dann does that too.  Jacob's just cuter. ;)

Max Yasgur - He's the guy that lent his land for almost have a million people to tread on in order to have three days of fun and music.  It is what we now know as Woodstock. Dann and I went up to Bethel yesterday so he could see the Woodstock museum and I personally just love it up there.  Mr. Yasgur took a huge risk by letting all of those hippies gather on his land.  I know that there were many incidents during those three days but there weren't any riots or chaos that resulted in thousands of people dying.  He gave hippies (also known as people) a chance and the whole world saw that they aren't that bad.   And now I have a place to hang out.

My Dad-  I am not sure if I have already expressed my gratitude for my father's existence so I will just focus on one point today.  He was telling me a story last night about when doctors in Philly were threatening to take my breathing tube out and do a tracheotomy.  Buddy threatened to give the doctor a tracheotomy if he tried to give me one. My real doctor was called (by my father) and the tracheotomy was called off.  Thank you for that. We all know I have enough beauty marks; I certainly don't need a scar on my neck on top of everything.  You know what they say about small favors, be thankful.

Good Books -  For me, they are hard to come by.  I have a terrible time picking out a new book and now that the SCC is slow for the summer I have a lot of time to read.  I spend a million hours in a bookstore or book section and just cannot make up my mind because I am afraid that I will hate the book. And to make matters worse, I judge a book by its cover.   If the cover art doesn't catch my eye, I won't buy it.  Isn't that terrible?

My Glasses - Quite honestly, my eyes are getting worse and worse and I think that is a bit on the crapola side.  It still amazes me how much better I can see when I put my glasses on! I'm glad that I have them.

What are you thankful for?

Russia, are you still out there?
